Can you tell your Edgar from your Aetheling? Are you bewildered by ‘Athel-wotsits’ and ‘Thingy-stans’? Join us for a fun family-friendly romp through the confusing cast of 1066 characters. Find out how and why the Anglo-Saxon boy prince Edgar Aetheling survived William the Conqueror’s new regime but was consigned to be a footnote of history.

This talk will take place in the Discovery Centre and last around one hour. It is suitable for ages 7 to 107.

The event is graded as easy access. We'll be inside for the tour, but the discovery centre can be cold, so please wear suitable footwear and dress for the weather.
